Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing KJ Academy's website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing our services.

2. Course Enrollment and Payment

2.1 Course Registration

• Course places are subject to availability
• Enrollment is confirmed only upon receipt of payment or agreed payment plan
• We reserve the right to refuse enrollment at our discretion
• Minimum age requirement: 16 years (unless otherwise specified)

2.2 Payment Terms

• Course fees must be paid in full before course commencement unless a payment plan is agreed
• Payment plans are subject to approval and may require a deposit
• All prices are in GBP and include VAT where applicable
• Starter kits (where applicable) are charged separately

3. Cancellation and Refund Policy

3.1 Student Cancellations

• More than 14 days before course start: Full refund minus £50 administration fee
• 7-14 days before course start: 50% refund
• Less than 7 days before course start: No refund
• Transfer to another course date may be possible subject to availability and approval

3.2 Academy Cancellations

If we cancel a course, students will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to another available date.

3.3 Non-Attendance

Failure to attend without prior notice will result in forfeiture of all fees paid. No refunds or transfers will be offered.

4. Course Attendance and Conduct

• Students must attend all scheduled sessions to receive certification
• Punctuality is required - repeated lateness may result in exclusion
• Professional behaviour is expected at all times
• Disruptive behaviour may result in immediate exclusion without refund
• Students must follow all health and safety guidelines
• Mobile phones must be on silent during training

5. Certification

• Certificates are awarded upon successful completion of all course requirements
• Students must pass all assessments to receive certification
• ABT accreditation applies to qualifying courses only
• Certificates remain the property of KJ Academy until course fees are paid in full

6. Intellectual Property

• All course materials, techniques, and content are the intellectual property of KJ Academy
• Students may not reproduce, distribute, or teach our materials without written permission
• Photography and video recording during courses requires prior approval
• Student work created during courses may be used for KJ Academy marketing with consent

7. Health and Safety

• Students must disclose any allergies or medical conditions before course commencement
• Students work with chemicals and equipment at their own risk
• Appropriate PPE must be worn when required
• Students must have appropriate insurance for professional practice post-qualification

8. Liability and Insurance

KJ Academy maintains appropriate insurance for educational activities. However:

• We are not liable for personal belongings lost or damaged on premises
• Students are responsible for obtaining their own professional insurance upon qualification
• We are not liable for any loss of earnings or consequential losses
• Our total liability is limited to the course fees paid

9. Online Course Terms (When Available)

• Access credentials are for individual use only and must not be shared
• Course content may not be downloaded or distributed
• Technical requirements are the student's responsibility
• Access may be revoked for terms violations

10. Complaints and Disputes

Any complaints should be raised with KJ Academy management in writing within 7 days of the incident. We aim to resolve all complaints within 14 days.

These terms are governed by English law and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Students will be notified of any material changes affecting their enrolled courses.
